Damn so Conti discontinued the fronts too?? I was going to try find them.. This is just insane.
How many here are trying to put tires on a set of forged $5k-10k?? I feel like we either have to junk these costly rims or run some mismatch tires. Neither one is a good answer..

Michelin will keep producing N rated Porsche-sized PS2's for quite awhile. They will probably be contractually obligated to do so. I don't have word on when/if PSS will be N rated but I suspect eventually they will. The 20' combo is definitely a conundrum combo. The market really wasn't ready for this combo outside of OEM tires.

It's a lot like trying to find 315/25 19 and 235/35 19 tires for the 996. Gone like Kaiser Soze...

TAGMotorsports is infamous around these parts
Guys,

This is a HUGE issue, the 245/30/20 Michelin's are nowhere to be found, and the 325/25/20 Pirelli's are nowhere to be found...

HOWEVER - There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Pirelli has just received the molds from Germany to build the 325/25/20 PZERO here in the States. We have purchased the first batch of tires which will be available within about 60 days or so. Stay tuned for updates...

Thanks,
Alex@TAGmotorsports.com

So could you run a 255/30/20 on the front? The dia 26.1 compared to 25.8 on the 245/30/20. Is that too much of a difference? The rears are 26.4

Based on my calculations and assuming you run the 325/25/20 rears, you WILL have issues with the transfer case. The stock F/R ratio is 97.22%, with the 255-325 combo your F/R ratio will be 98.58%. I also have empirical data on this as I tried almost the exact same F/R ratio of 98.59% and the transfer case (as well as the PSM) where having issues. Can go into more detail if there is any interest.

I can into how I came up with my calculations if anyone is interested (and for peer review).

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Thanks for the info. It's amazing that it doesn't take but a lil to throw off the transfer case. we are olny talking .3 of a inch taller. Seems like you would have problems with this when your rear tires wear down faster then the fronts.

If my calculations are correct (since Porsche does not give that information to mere mortals) the tolerance is only around the depth of the thread for stock tires, which is in line with Porsche's recommendation to change all four. Now that tolerance limit goes down if running non-stock tires.

So I also have the same issue with not being able to get tires for the above mentioned sizes for my 09 Turbo. That being said, what 20" wheel size should I get now to have tires (preferably Michelin) that are readily available. My wheel manufacturer will resize the barrels up or down to meet my needs.
