You have been given incorrect information. Porsche does not list any difference between the Coupe and Cabriolet spring part numbers, as all Turbo models use the same spring. H&R specifically lists their 29111-1 sport spring set as fitting 997 Turbo Cabriolet applications. We have them on the shelf, ready to ship.

997 turbo cabrio has different springs, dampers and antiroll bars. This information is not incorrect as said above. Even if you take a ride on a coupe and then drive a cabrio you will see a huge difference as the cabrio is stiffer so I insist that the cabrio doesn't need any modifications to the chassis unless aesthetic reasons come up...

Porsche sold the 997 Turbo and Turbo Cabriolet with the exact same dampers, sway bars, and springs from the factory. I'm not sure what was modified about the Turbo Cab that you drove, but I can assure you, stock-for-stock, they are not stiffer than a coupe. In fact, the 997 Cabriolet has more than 30% LESS torsional rigidity than a comparable Coupe. A 987 Boxster is stiffer than a 997 Cabriolet.

After further research I believe I will be going with a full set of coilovers as I want springs for performance rather than look. Ever since I put 20" monobloks I have lost stiffness and feel like I am on a cloud , supposedly because of the unsprung weight compared to the heavier stock wheels. Therefore to carefully adjust my car for my retarded street racing addiction I see no other route... comments?
