LSD Options

Hey Guys

Been looking LSD options for my turbo and/or GT2 (both 996).

Any opinions on the different brands / models? Speed Gallery seems to be leaning towards the Guard Pro model? Info from the Guard website:

Pro - High Strength, hardened 4340 Chromoly billet, 8620 cover, multi disc, Pro+ is 100% 8620 billet

Club - 1045 Billet body, still far stronger than any Porsche or ZF LSD. All of our LSDs come standard with 4 friction discs, however, 6 or 8 disc versions are also available.

I've also heard of Quaife and Carbonetic

Definitely go with Guard. Matt from Guard knows his stuff and their diffs are flawless.

We've installed dozens, with no complaints.

Ordered the "pro" model today for my GT2. Talking to guard

Consider doing the same for my turbo + maybe re-gearing and looking into making 1st quite a bit taller. i want to work on the Car's stoplight effectiveness and I think a taller 1st could work wonders. We'll see.

DaBrat is infamous around these parts
Sorry for the slightly off-topic question. Is my understanding correct that the 997.2TT PTV comes with LSD? Can it be upgraded to a Guard LSD? If so, what are your views on this upgrade? Thanks!
