08 997tt wheel vibration issues
Hello, Everybody.
I got my wheels balanced a couple of times to the gram and still, above 75 mph, I feel rumble and vibration from front and rear
. road force was below 24 for all tyres
My set up is:
OE wheels, polished to bear metal.
Potenzas tread 9/32 front, 7/32 rear.
Spacers, 7mm front, 14mm rear.
I tried a set of different set of wheels with michelins and worked perfectly.
Trying to pin point cause: wheels, tires or spacers?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Did you use the spacers when you tried the other setup?
I just had my rears rebalanced and they still aren't perfect but I want to make it through the next couple months with these tires until the spring. Mine are close the wear bars though.
I would try your setup without the spacers to see if that helps if you can. At least it will rule out one more variable.

Make sure the shop is using a road force balancer. The Hunter GSP9700 is the standard. I've seen bad spacers cause this, but it's usually just a failed balance - spacers make the balance more critical.

They do. thanks
If they are vibrating, I would suspect your spacers. Try pulling them off. What I've found is that spacers exacerbate any small wheel issues... usually spacers and new wheels / tires are fine, but even a tiny little bend in the wheel will be magnified with spacers.
