How many people feel this way about their car
I have had my 997TT for 2 plus years now. I still have chills when I see it and great feeling when I drive the car....
Now granted I am working on my upgrades b/c I want more out of the car but it still gives my WOW feeling.
I mostly drive it on the weekends.
I can tell from this forum that everyone loves their car but wanted to see how many people still have that WOW feeling still....

This car was always meant to be a keeper for me (too many other priorities competing for my disposable income) and I have no regrets. I'll probably do one more round of performance upgrades (i.e. bigger turbos than the 63s I have on there) and call it a day.
9 months later before bed I go into the garage look through the window like it's not mine and think "what a cool car" Is it love or obsession I dont' know but it is a cool car

I do this all the time too. I still can't believe it's mine. It's just like "WHOA! Who parked THIS here!?"
LOL sweet I'm not the only one! Thanks for making me feel normal.
+2 love the Turbo but kinda getting a little bored
I too absolutely love my turbo. Do I enjoy looking around and thinking about something else...yes, but then I come to my senses and realize I'll miss what drew me to the turbo. Haven't done the ecu tune yet, not sure how much longer I can hold out.
I guess you have mastered it or are not driving it hard enough.
It is very docile until you light the Turbo's up.
I love it because it is truly a daily driver that when stomped on performs like a supercar. Best of both worlds to me.

I ask many questions about 997 TT to myself as well.
Should I sell it? Or keep it for 2 more years?
The re-sale price will drop as time goes by. A new S is for 300.000 USD in Istanbul, and second hand is for 160.000 USD. Thats for this year. Next year resale price will be 140.000 USD....
will the 997 TT entice me 2 years later? Well, dont know. 991 TT will look and drive and perform "better" than 997 TT. Thats been the case for the last 30 years in 911 Turbo's life cycle. Each new successor has been better than the previous 911 TT.
I did 997.2 rear bumper / tail light upgrade. The 997.2 conversion raised my passion further.
A buddy of mine bought a Ferrari 458.
A buddy of mine drives a bmw e36 3,20 coupe. 16 years old bimmer.
So these are the two opposite ends and eachone is happy. Me and my 997 TT are in the middle of the above mentioned scale.
So I dropped my 997 at meguiars for detailing and now want to keep my 997 TT for at least 2 years.
All and all, if you have the money to upgrade to 991 TT do it. Each new Turbo is better than the older turbo....
Just ask yourself would you drive a 993 Turbo?

I have had my TT a little over a year now. It is my daily driver. I have an 12 mile commute. Half of which is toll road. I love the on ramps!! Car brings a smile to my face every day.
