what is some of your guys' professions?
Hard work, smart investing, taking advantage of opportunities as they presented themselves, taking educated risks at the right time in my life and savings. When I first got married we lived on my wife's teacher income. Banked mine and I was on commission so there was a lot of uncertainty. Banked a down payment on a house, kept banking my salary and investing it. Do not live at you means, live below it, it allows you to build cash to take advantage of opportunities. Invested in stocks, real estate and in myself. Started a business and worked my *** off, still working my *** off.
Sales professional started by own business.
I have wanted the car since is was 14, now 46 and it is sweet. To truly enjoy the car just be sure you can meet all other obligations before you plunk done the money for a toy like this. Kids college, mortgage handled or paid off. Life insurance handled, estate planning done.

Lot's of education here (guess the others on here would call it investing in one's self). I'm a surgeon and we live well off a portion of what I bring home. Wife is MD too and everything she makes and part of mine goes to our/family future in the form of investing, property, etc.

Agree with JFS721 - live below your means and play a calculated game until you can spend without affecting your life or family.
