TT pricing?
TT pricing?
I've talked to a couple of dealers about 997.1 TT's and had them drop prices $5-7k at the drop of a hat from listed prices - numbers I would have thought not even reachable from listing prices. Are prices for '07-09's getting soft? I'm pretty surprised and not sure what real market is. I've seen that Mannheim prices for '09's are mid80's - well below the prices car are listed for (mid 90's). Seems like there is more room to bargain than I thought. Anyone have similar experiences? Looking to make a deal on a car and hoping not to get taken.

2007 Porsche 911 Turbo for Sale in Roslyn Heights, NY 11577

Dealers will always get as much as they can for a TT. Shop around and compare prices. The Manheim numbers can be misleading for many reasons because they don't include all the costs involved when purchasing from an auction. Personally I would only by a TT from a Authorized Porsche Dealer. Good luck with your search!

OEM Warranty on it's way out is probably a factor?
I just looked at every car linked above... at least based on those numbers, it looks like they haven't seen any abnormal depreciation?

The reason I ask is as I suggested - wondering if asking prices are inflated and cars aren't really moving near asking. Other points of reference - I was offered two "fairly" equipped '09's ($137k stickers) for $90k (15k and 18k miles). Both CPO and were listed at $96 and $93k. Dealers offered $3k more on my M3 at the same time! This was not hard bargaining either, i.e. threatening to walk away, taking a lot of time, etc. Trying to judge where '09's should go. Sounds like in the high 80's with CPO and under 20k miles.
Issues I see with the '07's is that they are well out of warranty AND many were delivered early '06. If you look at '09's, many were actually delivered in '09. As a result they are more like three years newer.
Thanks for the help!

5 months ago I picked up an 07', fairly well optioned (sticker was 149k), with 20k on the clock for 80.9k. I really liked the color combo, plus living in Hawaii pickings were slim, so I was ok paying a little more. Happy hunting...
997 tt convertible
I paid at Mannheim auction 87 for a 08 triple black convertible with 12k miles and 148 sticker price. No paint job, single owner.
Usually dealers get 5-10k per car easily.
Do your job, don't worry about CPO.
With that 5-10k you are saving, you will cover any repairs on next 1-2 years and you can buy some accessories for your new baby. !!!
Just a though...
It works for me all the time.

Based on prices I've seen anywhere in the mid to upper 70's for an 07-08 and mid to uppder 80's for an 09.
My opinion newer is always better, go with an 09 unless you find a sreaming deal with all the right options.
