Buying a used 997TT

I am in the market for a 08\09 997 TT cab
Just starting to read through the forum and lots of good information.

My question is: is there any way to search nation wide the cars available on the Porsche website. Only way I see is to search within a 500 mile radius.

Ive looked on autotrader and cars.com but not finding exactly what I want yet.

Thanks.

That's a good link - my only issue with it is that many dealers are slow to update so you may find a great car only to find out it was sold a month ago.

I've actually NOT found that to be the case - but I'm open to other suggestions!

Actually, I've found cars listed on the Porsche site that have not been advertised on Cars or Autotrader. The only other way I can think of is find a salesman in every dealership and tell them to call you when they get a car. What's the chance of them doing that?

Normally all the P-car dealers have their own web page that is independent from the one associated with Porsche North America and kept current. If you find a TT on the Porsche corporate page just google the dealership and check if the car is still available. Plus there's normally more info and better pictures on the dealers web page.

Go to Cars.com and you'll find what your are looking. Just select your search criteria and you will find all the P-cars available within your 500 mile limit, including new and used from dealerships.

Good luck.

shipping is not that bad. I had my 997.2 TTS shipped from Miami to DC. enclosed trailer and took two days. 1100 bucks.

Definitely easy to search the whole country. I was very close to a deal and finally decided I couldn't spend $90k for a car sight unseen. Shipping isn't that bad though, the dealer even offerred to cover it.
Indeed, there are cabs everywhere. I don't know what the stats are, but I bet over half of the turbos made are cabs. And then many of them tips. Not for me.

Yep, lots of cabs, fewer however with 6 speed manuals.

I was hoping to find one within 500 miles or so that I could hop a flight there and drive it home. Down here in the south though they are few and far between.

www.cargurus.com

I used that site to find my car. I like how it shows you how long something has been listed and gives you an idea of how it compares to other cars that are listed.

Great site. Thanks for sharing. Really like how it shows how long things have been listed and the relative price compared to other similar cars.
