I bought the car from its first owner with the Fvd software they develloped on it.(my car is the 997 on the Rhonda's avatar last years)
But perhap's very very very conservative, the car rated 620hp was outperformed by my tuned 993TT...(560hp)
And the feeling at driving was "soporific"...
So I bought a Durametric and logged it, a V-box too, and went to a dyno, etc... Some people here presented me TK (milou and Dave if I'm right).
We did several logs and tune improvements, the car came from 570 to 670hp and becomed far more exciting to drive, but I drove back to back my 993 and 997 last Saturday...
...997 still too timid!

Ps: I order almost each month some servicing or tuning parts for my cars from FVD, there is ABSOLUTELY no issue with them, best provider in Europe according to me.
I guess they tuned my car very soft, and the guy who payd the work (friend of mine now) was very glad, so the deal was great; I'm the issue!

I think that is the answer

I think also that the 997tt in comparison to any previous turbo model is very refined and also the 4wd system works in a different way!

Oh and on a side note the power addiction has kicked in big time for you

you should have the alpha kit plus meth injection , 1.5bar all the way

just install the methanol injection correctly,do fine tunning the ECU and you will be ready for 700whp or more ..

Yousef
I agree with Yousef, regarding installing a meth injection kit. Have you checked out AEM Electronics water/methanol injection kit? We offer this cost effective 1-gallon kit, with all needed components along with a progressive map sensor based controller allowing for an easy setup. With the increase of fuel octane and the addition of this chemical intercooler, this kit will give you the needed support for your higher horse power numbers, safely and reliably.

they are laggy as you see from this video. 68mm gt2 vs stock vtgs.

My boost really kicks about 4000 rpm: my car is a 6spd and when I start in 4rth from 70kph it kicks >100kph at the dashboard.
My torque <3000 is really poor and the spooling time is about 1 second, far too long, my 560hp 993TT K24s spool very faster!

The 68 from CMS are perhap's a good key for top end but low?...

ah, that may be one reason why you are able to get from 100-200 a couple of ticks faster than me.

hmmm...I waited for the gt2 to fly by but it didn't. Has to be something wrong, although the gearing is different in a GT2 and there would be more lag b/c the hotside is slightly larger on the GT2 turbo iirc.

I spoke with a couple of guys with 68s that had upgraded from stock and from 63s and they indicated there was no loss of low-end tq. If I get a set I'll post full details to compare numbers in my other thread (comparing stock, tuned, tuned and bigger turbos).

to be honest, I think VTG's are complete waste of time and money. Throw some gtx3071's and see the difference.

depends on your goals. We'd all like to be superfast like your car but it's already hard enough staying out of jail just with modded vtgs. I don't want to deal with ebc etc... so vtgs are for me.

Hello Pascal,

We would be glad to host you here if you decide to come.

You can test several 997tt customer cars here with stock engine with the turbo kits below.

VTG 63mm
GTX 3071 (0.63 a/r)
GT 3076 (0.63 a/r)
GTX 3076 (0.63 a/r)
GTX 3076 (0.82 a/r)

You can also see our built turbo engine cars with 4.1 and 4.2 liter stroker kits. Also the naturally aspirated 4.25 liter GT3

p.s. The best way to come from Europe to Istanbul, is getting on the ferry from Ancona (ITALY) to Greece, then come to Istanbul by the highway.

Cheers,
Emre

Thxs very much Emre,
I only take 2 or 3 weeks of holidays each year and I can't spend them for the car, my wife and child wouldn't appreciate...
And I don't want to ship it.
If we were closer for sure my car would already run an Aquamist for example.
My Porsche center who build a few 997cup engines each year can build mine, but I wonder if it is a good idea spending much money from the rods to the turbos if the gain is very small sticking with pumpgas...
