Turbo S 1/4 mile with a tune/exhaust -- times?
There is a fair amount of time slips/vids allowing one to compare TT stock vs. tune/exhaust, but tuned TTS 1/4 mile times seem to be lacking. Dynos are aplenty showing decent gains, but has anyone with a tuned TTS run significantly better than the 10.8s @ 128-129 times that have been run by stock TTS? I am curious whether the lack of slips/vids indicates no real gains at least in 1/4 mile. Is all the gain in roll on times?
For me, the tune did make a big difference at the track.
I'm not sure if you guys at sea level and good fuel get the same results though...
Porsche 911 Turbo S 2012
Conditions: 8.800 Feet above sea level
Fuel: 89 Octane
STOCK: 11.5 1/4 Mile
With Tune: 11.1
And we feel we can go lower than 11.1, we had a couple problems that day with the track.
But yea... My car is supposed to be doing 10.X stock! But not here, fuel and altitude are killer
. But the tune did help quite a lot.

I went with the Softronic tune, they were the only ones that offered to tune it with my kind of fuel.
And no, not yet. 11.5 Completely stock, 11.1 Completely stock, but with tune.
Gains were very nice, and like I said, we should be able to go lower... The track is crap here, there's a part that goes down slightly when the car is about to change from first gear to second, and it makes the RPM's jump up way too fast for the car to react, making it hit the rev limiter and lose time...
I went 11.9 and 11.7 because of that, then my brother passed it on Manual, shifting at 5,000 RPM's thinking it was detonation, and it went 11.1... So we think on Sport Plus, and full throttle in automatic, it should do 10's.
Also, both runs were with a little more than half a tank of gas, so everything was pretty much equal.
We will be going to the track again soon with race fuel (Hard to come by here, but I finally got some).

WOW, that sucks!! look into torco octane boost.. its safe.. you can add a little to each tank, or the whole can to 10 gallons for 100 octane..

Hi rolling thunder, my car is a '91, C4, 911 Carrera, that has been converted to TT. It runs in the low 10's. Would do more but I rarely "dump" the clutch, (due to the AWD) launch at about 3300 where the turbos are fully spooled. The engine was increased from 3.6 liters to 3.8, makes 742 HP on the ground. The headers, mufflers, pipes and heat exchangers are all custom made by the builder, Pro-tech of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
