Hello,

So I've been searching around for wheel options for my 2012 Turbo S, not a fan of the stock wheels.

I'm looking for lighter wheels as well.

The problem I'm seeing is that most of the wheels offered have almost the same style as stock ones...

So far I've looked into;

BBS FI (A friend of mine contacted BBS and they said the wheels were NOT available for my car)

GT3RS Wheels

And I love the GT2RS, but I know the GT2RS is wider than the turbo S and has wider tires.

Would they work?

Thank you.

Take a look at OZ Racing's Superforgiata wheels. They are light, strong and I love them.

The GT2RS and the Turbo have the same body, except that the front fenders on the RS have flares which offer about 8mm more for offset. Otherwise the wheels will fit fine.

Because OEM wheels are relatively pricey, it may be more cost effective to purchase aftermarket wheels from a reputable dealer. Ultralight monoblock wheels are as strong if not stronger, definitely lighter, and have better offerings.

This too ^^

Something like our RS20 wheels would look nice, and be lighter and stronger

Hi, here you can find many pics of my friends Turbo S

www.bmwclub.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=508760&page=6

This is original GT 2 RS wheels and they are really expensive, but looks great!

And he used original turbo tire size, R888 305/30R19!

There's some good points! I also looked at the champion wheels but the problem I have with them is that they are very similar to stock wheels!

The OZ look very nice as well.

GT2RS I just heard they are 7oz lighter at front and 2 lb heavier on the rear. Not much, but definitely wasn't thinking they'd be heavier.

Tom,

What are the weight specs of your wheels?

Since many of the wheels I've been looking at do not come in Centerlock I'd like to gather all the information I can on the ones that do ,

Also, does anyone know the stock weight of the Turbo S Centerlock wheels?

The front wheels are 19x9.0" and weigh 21.6 lbs.
The rear wheels are 19x12.0" and weight 24.9 lbs.

The OEM centerlock Turbo wheels are 23.25 lbs (19x8.5" front) and 26.65 lbs (19x11" rear).

Thank you bbywu!

So to sum it up;

If I want the lightest without changing to 5 Lugs, OZ,Champion and Tech 1 are the best options...

A friend of mine tells me Tech 1 went out of business but I've seen them selling the wheels here... Sent a PM and waiting for an answer still.

I was also looking at ADV1, they say their wheels are 21 lb front and 24 rear so that's also an option, not as light as OZ or others though.

Grrrr... Decisions...

There are newer complete carbon fiber wheels that are available that are slightly lighter. Not sure if they are TUV or how they hold up at the track. I know they are very expensive.

Yes I saw those! Very nice! But 20,000$ is too much for wheels...

My options right now are;

ADV 10.1 SL
Champion
OZ

But I'm waiting for Mike to respond my PM. If they are still in business their Tech 110 is pretty nice and very light.

I've got a set of Dymags for sale. This picture is the "old construction" that had some cracking problems. Dymag swapped them for free to the new construction. The ones I now have are machined for Porsche center caps as opposed to the one in the picture that were machined for Dymag center caps. They are not interchangeable. I sold the car almost two years ago so wheels have been packaged and stored since then.

Too bad they don't make the BBS FI wheels for your fitment. I have them on my GT2 and love them.
