Champion RS20 Centerlock Wheels on 997 Turbo S Cab
This lovely basalt black 997.2 Twin Turbo came into the Shark Tank for a happy meal including a proper sound from the Shark Werks exhaust and some light weight Champion Motorsport RS20 centerlock wheels, finished in silver.
In she comes:

First things first let's address that restrictive-sounding kill-joy stock exhaust:

With the bumper and intercoolers off we can replace the stock unit with our lighter, freer-flowing SharkWerks exhaust:

And with the bumper back on again:

The exhaust sounds like this:
Off come the wheels? Now why would we be taking those off...

That's why, a set of Champion RS20 centerlock wheels in silver...

It is California and a cabriolet afterall:

Cheerio until next time!

Having owned a handful of true American Muscle cars I rarely ha e anything good to say about the sound of a Turbo Porsche. That however sounded extremely mean and I LOVE it. It looks like a very simple design that yields excellent results. Very nice.
The wheels.....not sooo much.

Thanks mucho for saying that! Means a lot. I've owned a bunch of turbos and gt3s over the years and I have to say usually the turbos strong point hasn't been the sound. Once James was done and we installed the first version I had a good sized grin
LOL we shall see! Software tuning it with evomsit this week first
I probably didn't get great shots of the stock ones but I'd best describe them as similar but with more fine detail, a bett offset and the like. The factory ones have a really lame offset and are tucked in to be able to use snow chains by law in Germany- go figure. So as a result all the AWD Porsches especially have lame offsets. GT cars with r-compounds are exempt and wheels are offset to the fender nicely. The other thing you notice side by side is the stock ones have no depth or shape to them. It's as if they have been created with a low polygon count
