Hey guys-- I am about to order this grill but don't like the fact that you can still see the stock plastic grill behind it. I was thinking about cutting out the plastic grill like outlined in this thread...

..and then installing this grill in it's place. My question is:

Does this ZunSport Grille rest against the slats of the stock plastic grill for support or is it free standing and I can cut out the stock horizontal slats and allow this grill to take it's place?

 

I think if you did it exactly the way triblk6spd did you should be fine.

Be sure to post some pic's once you have completed or while you are doing your install. I might have to try that myself as well....could be a very cool look... ; )
