Decided to go with Protomotive headstuds. These are very stout - increase of over 20% in core diameter and 40% heavier than both Raceware and stock.

Nice build u going to have lots fun in it . Upgrade turbos while your at it .

I also have a 3.8l. Built prototec. Where fine tuning at the moment. Gt 35 turbo here.

Good luck with your build. Should be a monster with the 35s. I have A3076s.

Thanks! Here's a couple more.

Measured head for flatness...Stock is pretty good but there was a sightly low section.


Along cylinders 2 & 3....


Sent heads to Protomotive for flycutting and o-ringing. Lighting not the greatest - shadows are amplified but head is perfectly flat all around. His o-ring work is masterful.
