PCM problems in 997.2 turbo s

Is any other owner of a 997.2 (mine a 2011 Turbo S) having random shut-off problems with PCM? I'l be listening to anything (CD, SAT, AUX) and the system will randomly shut down and restart (back to the CD track that was being played, for example). I've been told that the central ECU in the 911 is juggling all the data in the car and - when overloaded- shuts down non-essential items like PCM to keep the car operating. I've noticed that my PCM will usually shut down when I enter a new navigation function or make a change in SPORT settings, etc. Last week, the PCM went into a (white screen) shut down mode and never came back- even when I shut the car off. Two days later, it was working fine again. Very weird

If it's still in warranty Porsche should be able to fix it. Electrical problems are always tough ones especially if they are intermittent. GL

I have not noticed that, the only little annoying thing that I have noticed is that about every 4th time I get in the car, the IPOD connection something is not right. It will not display the playlist correctly on the screen nor in the IP cluster area. If I plug and unplug it works again. not a huge deal, but annoying just the same. I'd take your car back to the dealer though!

My dealer wants the car in for an inspection and possible re-booting of all software.
