Can Anyone help...I bought a 2012 997.2 tts and it was ordered with badge delete.....I have purchased the correct emblem but its two pieces "turbo" and "s" and no template to install....it was $180.00 and I don't want to make a mistake! Help please!

 

Take it to a Porsche dealer... They will do it as a favor...

 

I have called them and they said there is not a template and its done by eyesight ...I have studied a few pics and prob will attempt myself :-/

it appears to be centered on the 3rd brake light and about a inch from bottom of decklid

 

Wow... That's not the standards for a Porsche dealership.

Just make sure you put it in the middle I don't think you can screw it up

 

Well I did not buy the car from them so I don't have a contact there....prob just brushed me off over the phone....plus I don't want to drive 120miles roundtrip and the brutal Houston freeway (sandblasted) ....i'm competent , just second guessing my judgment

I went out and measured mine for you. Referencing the top left corner of the horizontal t in turbo.

[-------12 inches from left edge of engine hood measured horizontally.

' 2 3/4 inches measured up from the bottom of the engine hood

The service manuals have templates - you have a lazy dealer.

 

Thanks guys....well let me figure out how to post a picture....i didnt do 2 3/4 inch from bottom i had already installed using tt surgeon pic.....

 

You should be ok, I believe the 2 3/4" was from the edge to the crossbar of the T in turbo, not the bottom edge of the letter.
