Colder Plugs on Stock Tune

I am over 40k miles currently and I need to change the spark plugs very soon. I purchased Denso PK22PR8 Double Platinum plugs anticipating getting the softronic tune soon. I will not be getting the tune for a couple more months so my question would it be okay to use the Denso plugs on a stock tune? I would just hate to put stock plugs in the car and then have to switch them again in a few months when I get the tune.

I wouldn't do it. The car will perform sluggishly and you will end up with carbon fouling. You will be changing your (ruined) new plugs again. So no point at all. IMHO you never need colder plugs with just a tune. Keep your stock plugs. Just my 2 cents.

FVD recommended that I keep my stock heat range plugs installed with their Stage 3 kit and Softronic tune. I've had 0 issues so far.

I have Softronic tune(93/exhaust) and colder plugs recommended by Softronic. When I had my car in dealer(warranty service), I switched back to stock tune and car ran completely fine. I even ran at the track with stock tune and had 0 issues.

Thank you everyone for the replies. Now I am even more torn on what to do!

I am going to switch them myself and from the research I have done this is not something I want to mess up and then have to switch them back do to what a PITA this is going to be.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I used stock plugs for my flash and upgraded vtg turbos and they worked just fine. Once you flash your car, you will have to upgrade plugs more frequently anyhow and you can change them then. Better yet, just do the flash and get a fresh set of plugs now.
