But thanks for clarifying. All of their exhausts say TUV certified so I wasn't sure what the "TUV certified TUV version" implied.

 

There are very strict regulations in Germany concerning any replacement parts. They must meet tuv specs. It's a very expensive process, fvd is one of the few that's tuv certified. There are also noise regulations in Europe, hence the tuv version. Cg also makes one.
The tuv is quieter than the export version but louder than stock, which I prefer.
You can't go wrong w fvd, great customer service.
The 650hp version is actually part of the 650 hp tuning package, ( tune, bmc, etc).
I believe it contains 70mm tubing, but I could be wrong.

Here is what a customer just emailed yesterday about our 2.5 "RACE" (catless) - it was on a 996TT, which is the same exact design for the 997TT, except the pipe is arranged in reverse for tip exit up top:

Hi John, The installation was quite simple and was done in about an hour and a half by professionals. The sound is awesome, easily the best sounding 996TT I've ever heard! The sound reminds me of the old air cooled 911's that I had many years ago. The turbos spool up quickly with a fantastic whistle. I was a bit concerned that the 2.5 "quiet" catless would be too quiet, but my fears were unfounded. The sound level is much louder than I expected, which was a bit of a surprise, but a pleasant one.

 

Just bought Leo's europipe that I originally wanted. Only reason for selling. John if I'm not crazy about the ep1 your my next option. Thanks.
