When the car was first released and tested by all the reporters launch control was used exclusively. I read that the car had over 1,000 LC launches and when torn apart by Porsche had no appreciable PDK clutch wear.
If the clutch plates get too hot the car goes into limp mode and will not allow LC to engage.

No question it gets you attention especially when you get the perfect launch.

Hey guys, not to hijack the thread, but I have a related question. If the car is in "M" mode when doing this; will it shift itself at redline? It seems like that during both using launch control and doing highway pulls the car sometimes shifts itself and other times hangs on limiter. Any input on this?

If you press the accelerator very hard you will feel like there's this sort of 'click' when it's all the way at the bottom.

This is sort of a button that is pressed when you press it all the way down, meaning even if the car is on M it will auto shift. I'm guessing for safety reasons.

However, if you do not press it all the way down, and don't press it hard enough to activate this button, it will not auto shift.

Me for example, I never press the gas hard enough to press this button, however that doesn't mean I'm not going at 100% power. It just means I don't press on it that hard.

My brother on the other hand hates this system, he presses on it hard, and he complains about this system every time.
