Turbo S Launch Control issue

When attempting, the launch control light on the steering wheel does not illuminate and the rpm's fluctuates between 2600 and 3000. Car is set to sport plus(light on steering wheel is on) , foot on brake and the accelerator is completely depressed. Wheels pointed straight. Comments appreciated.

Your set up procedure is correct. No idea why LC is not engaging.

I believe that can be done but it's not required to engage LC.

Was the engine up to operating temperature? (pg 175) I believe oil temp should be approximately 200 degrees.

The traction control does not have to be turned off.

Think gear pos. should be in man. 1 not D(and possibly while holding paddle in downshift?)
I thought tracs off too, never tried with it on

Edit: Love where the needle sits.

Car was at the normal operating speed. PDK shifter was in the D position. The manual indicates that the rpm levels off around 5000, however, the highest it achieved was 3,000rpm.

Ok, this is what i got from Porsche's page

This function is available in SPORT PLUS mode both in selector-lever position “M” and “D” on vehicles with Sport Chrono Package Plus.

Preconditions are as follows:

The vehicle must be stationary,
the brake pedal must be pressed and "kickdown" must be active.

The function is triggered by releasing the brake pedal.
PDK now enables optimum
wheel traction for maximum acceleration.

Stress on components increases significantly when driving off at maximum acceleration in comparison with driving off “normally.” In addition, there is a high temperature burden on the components in the clutches.

To protect the components, this function may be disabled after a racing start (depending on the oil temperature). The dual clutches are cooled with the maximum cooling volume flow.

Did you completely step on the accelerator at once?

When I first got the car I wasn't aware of this and I used to press the accelerator slowly, and that will not engage the Launch Control. Need to step on it hard and fast.

Agree with above post. You can't just ***** foot the gas. You have to honk on the brakes and then honk on the gas until you actually get it to 4500-5000 rpm.

That worked. The accelerator just needed a forceful and quick hit.
Thanks for the assistance.

Never plan on using LC. Really what is the point? Not judging just curious why it is done and what does it accomplish. In sport plus the car launches fast enough? No?
