08 997tt with sticking actuator rods in the turbo's

Just picked up car from the shop. Problem is actuator rods for the turbochargers are sticking. Had them regreased twice with hopes the problem would be fixed. Nope, worked at first but half way home started sticking again. This was a recall from the factory and had to be regreased which was done on my car back in 2009. Question? What are my options? Car is no longer under warranty, this was a defect from day 1 with the turbochargers. Also can the rods be replaced or need new turbo chargers? Also any other ideas or suggestions?

The rods can be replaced. Not too sure that the dealership will do it or sell the rods only however. Go to a shop that deals with turbochargers and they should know.

This may be a silly question but how do you tell if your actuator rods are sticking? What are the symptoms. CEL/Noises/Poor performance?

The shop diagnosed it. The turbochargers when car is not warm yet work fine 18psi if boost on guage and after a while of running I barely get any boost. The boost guage doesn't show boost till after I let off the gas. Also you can feel the difference without turbo. Totally different car. I was also told these turbo chargers had an issue from the factory and needed the actuator rods greased.
