I think I read that someone had a similar issue so figure would post as more of a heads up. Was at the track last week - Monticello. Firstly - outstanding - if you ever have a chance to go, its techincal and plenty of fun.

Within first run, coming out of corner - put the pedal down and all I hear is a massive flow of air from the engine and watching the speed go from 50...55....60....65 - I'm thinking WTF!!! I should be near 100mph now...day was basically over. On the way home took it easy. When I tried WOT - boost showed something like 50% and it felt even worse. Engine shut off - but no check engine notice and nothing in the onboard computer. Engine idle ok, but maybe a bit rough.

Got home and ran Durametric - and got AIR INTAKE error. Off to dealer. I'm running 2009 997.1 TT manual.

Outcome - hose from intercooler came loose. Easy CPO fix by dealer. Thinking back I do recall hearing a bit more wind noise from the engine when turbos kicked on - so I think the stress of the track just loosened the hose completely.

Anyway - all good now and looking forward to a real track day!
