Hey guys this is my First Turbo porsche so if I say something stupid pay zero attention. I have a 2012 Turbo s that I am ready to do some mods to. I would love for it to run low 10's or high 9 in the quarter mile. I do zero road racing. I hear that the tranny can only hold around 600 hp is that true? I don't want to make this car not fun to drive or more trouble that its worth, basically I dont want to hurt the drivability. What does everyone this is the best sounding exhaust, ecu, etc. Thanks so much

 

You're best bet would be to mimic the package we collaborated with Champion Motorsport on to run a 9.8 quarter mile on stock turbos. The car will drive like stock, albeit with a huge increase in power. For modification list, you'd be looking at:

- GIAC Software
- Champion Motorsport intercoolers
- Tubi (or other) exhaust

I would also look into an IPD or Werks1 y-pipe and plenum combo, as it will definitely help at these power levels.

why should I save the money. I think a high 9 sec ride is pretty cool

 

A 9 second car that you could put back to stock in 3-4 hours with no problem....sign me up!

 

You'll need to invest in some racing slicks to put the power to the ground, so don't forget about those. The best sounding exhaust is entirely personal opinion so you need to try and find some locals with different exhausts and hear them in person.

Is your car a manual or PDK?

 

The 2012 TTS was only available as a PDK.
