I set my DTRL from the PCM

 

I had it at the dealer all day Friday (most of which was spent with the tech trying to isolate a vibration in the passenger door I hadn't even noticed) and the short answer is the daytime running lights aren't really an option on this car. It's either all the exterior lights on and dash lights off for DTRL or no exterior lights. Apparently a safety feature from Porsche. "With 620 bp Porsche wanted this car to be seen for safety" was their explanation.

 

You should purchase a Durametric cable for your car. When you look at the control functions for the lighting menu, you'll see the software options are a more variable. I changed settings on both my Turbo & Turbo S very easily.

Remove the DRL's all together.

Looks much better during the day with nothing on.
