Help with Centering Rear "Turbo" Badge

I recently had my '08 997tt cab wrapped in satin white. Originally I wasn't going to put a "Turbo" badge on the rear deck lid but now I've decided to put a black one on.

Can someone help me with providing some measurements for the exact placement of the OEM Turbo badge?

The how it's made porsche episode shows that they use a plastic overlay to apply the badges. Maybe a dealer would have one?

I too removed my Turbo badge before I clear bra'd my engine cover. I have yet to put the badge back on. I did make a template of the badge before I removed it.

The bottom of the badge is 1 3/8 inches above the bottom edge. and centered it is 17 1/4 inches side to side.

Use the force Luke. It's like a game of pin the tail on the donkey. Okay sorry I had my fun. Measure from side to side take the mark a out an inch from the bottom split measurement. Then from the center, mark 3 inches on both sides of the center line. This will now give you a straight edge of 6 inches. Take 1 inch making tape about a foot long and place it along the 6 inch spread. This will serve as your guide. Find the center of the decal and mark it on the cellophane side. It should be see through.

Line up the center of the guide with the center of the decal. Use the guide to have the level measurement and voila!

There is actually a template for the rear deck logo - just ask your dealer to print out the WM service page for it.

Unless the closest (and most useless) dealer is Hoen Porsche in Carlsbad. I stopped in there at the service desk and once again was given with incorrect knowledge.

13.2" side to side and .9" from the edge of the deck lid to the bottom part of the badge.

Also Look at the picture and the position of the lid latch to the badge to get an idea of it's placement.

Hope that helps

Thanks to everyone that helped out!

I will say this - I walked through the dealer's lot today and the few 911 turbos I measured were all different lol.

Thank you for the information! I mounted my badge once before and was not happy it, glad to know there is an actual template after the car leaves the factory.

I saw a show on the build of the 991s and saw the actual badge template/mount they use in the factory. Seemed very custom.
