New here introducing my 997.1tt..

Hi guys! I purchased my FIRST Porsche this past summer. A 2008 Blk/blk 997tt cab MT6 with 4,600 miles and 2 yrs CPO . Following this forum there has recently been a heck of a lot of confusion on the “going rate” for these cars. After researching this car for several years there is no flat “going rate” on this car. Its value correlates with many factors including but not limited to most importantly transmission type, color combo, miles etc. A well taken care of low mile MT6 Metzger engine turbo is a gem PERIOD. With the introduction of the 991TT/ Gt3 PDK only cars the 997.1TT will be retaining good value. I bought mine for 89.5k. Sticker was 145. My car even came with new 20” HRE deep dish wheels and new tires.
The car is stunning. Refined elegance. Although it has serious road presence, it does not beg for attention. One of the only complaints of a stock turbo is the vacuum exhaust sound. Any new owner of a 997 TT MUST replace the stock exhaust. I ordered the EP1 within a month. Not to get into all the details but the old saying " you get what you pay for" holds true. Wow! Ok so the now the turbo sounds sick. Throaty and growls at any RPM. Zero drone. Cold starts sound incredible. Drop the top and the experience magnifies. I prefer the cab as it ads another level/ fun factor to the whole experience. I also prefer the stance of a cab to a coupe.

Before my purchase I test drove the 991s cab in both MT and PDK versions. I was bored out of my mind in 5 min with PDK even in sport plus. The MT was nice but lacked torque. PDK shifts are very fast and the launch control done properly in a 991s PDK is an experience. However, on the streets I prefer the raw edge of a 997.1tt MT. If my income depended on winning races on a track, then no doubt, PDK.

Cheers!
