Guys, is there somewhere on the PCM that tells you how close you are to the next oil service.? I manual states the oil should be every 10k or 1 year. But I can't locate a window on the PCM which states that.

On my 04 M3. Whenever you fire it up, it shows you how many kilometers left before your service.

 

I got a message telling me that I had X days before the next service. I can't remember if it started at 30 days or 15 or... My independent tech tells me the oil should be changed every year, even if you don't drive the 10k miles.

 

30 day countdown for oil changes, intervals (1 versus 2 years) are set by PIWIS. There are no other minders.
