Have you found where the leak was originating from? My guess was one of the hoses beneath the alternator.

 

Purchased a bore scope and looked at every article available on this and other worthy sites. It was drivers side lower coolant tube off the oil cooler (aka heat exchangers). Sharkwerks has a repair kit available and looks to be a superior alternative to OEM. It seems that it liked to leak a little when it felt like, nothing consistent.

I just ordered these to install as part of major servicing. Have only heard good things.

 

Wise purchase it seems. Mine went out shortly after CPO warranty went away. My local dealer, as much as I respect them, did not advise as to preventative issues that could have been rectified while the trans was being replaced and engine was out.

I'm sure you are privy..... there are great threads on what "maintenance" can and should be addressed while the engine is out and parts are easily inspected and replaced.

Thanks, will do. Plan so far is to do plugs, coils, water pump, pin coolant pipes, replace three pipes above, replace tandem pump, redo all studs and nuts exposed and rusted, replace any clips/joins/anything else showing rust signs, and sort out minor trans oil leak. Nothing major...
