'12 Nissan GT-R or '09 911T Cab
+1
Exactly. OP, are you really going into a dealer and just buying one of these cars? Or was this just a teaser to get us back into the porsche/gtr debate???
Pics or it didn't happen.

I am going to drive the 911 today. I drove the GTR, it's rattly.
I have both contracts in hand (the GTR is local, the 911 is a remote purchase)
I will let you all know how it goes, I do have a slight interruption as I'm going to be leaving for asia on sunday.

Eh, any track car with that amount of performance is expensive to maintain.
Tracking the gtr for HIM in ca is nearly impossible if ambient temp is anywhere in high 70's due to all the above oils reaching tems requiring $$$ replacement in service. Brakes I will not even mention as they destroy rotors on street pads/driving. Car is very heavy... I am awere of all these issues as I track my car with him.
None of a over problems are present on let's say a gt3 but, we should not start a pissing match.
Don't get me wrong, I like the gtr but there are cheaper alternatives.
I respectfully disagree. Nissan has all these crazy rules of "if the oil temp reaches xxx numbers it requires replacement" from diffs, tranny etc.

If somebody buys a $100,000 car, tracks it, buying $2k tires every so often, and then has an issue paying $600 for trans fluids every 2,000 track miles - I'd say this wasn't well researched.
For cheaper alternatives, there is always a Miata. I'm sure this is a wonderful alternative to actual performance.
Wow. So much to say... Lol well said
I fully agree with you, but why bag on miatas? Everything isnt about lap times, some guys just want to have fun on the track. And a miata is a significantly higher driver engagement car than a GTR. If you want to set fastest lap, track a GTR. If you want to have a fun time on the cheap, the miata is a perfect vehicle.
Still, anyone who tracks a GTR and *****es about fluids should have done their research...

Where in my post did I mention tires? Transmission service for $600? (not in SF) Every 2K? Reading my post again, clearly states it needs to be changed every time you exceed a certain temp...
Also last time I checked GT3 was not a Miata.
