Yep, it appears that rather than responding to demand by increasing stock, they have just raised the price to slow demand. Rather short sighted in my opinion.

Just discovered this thread, interesting piece not withstanding their whacky pricing strategy. The Plasti-dip finish looks great, but two questions, how durable is it again all the crap that hits the lip and what happens to the finish along the edge when the inevitable scrapes happen? Has anyone tied dulling the finish with fine steel wool? It might dull the shiny finish and they're be no paint to be damaged. If it didn't work, it still would make a better surface to paint with the Plasti-dip anyway and there's a chance the steel wool might work really well.

Cheaper shipping on this one, also you can make an offer.

I may buy a spare, even at $200. I mistakenly tried bug cleaner to get bugs off the plastidipped spoiler and it took the finish off as well. If I get a spare, I'll use the steel wool method suggested.

I've tried with the best offer auction and they're pretty firm on price. $200 is still cheaper than the factory lip replacement mine came with or close enough to it.

Yea, My son used Plasti-dip on one of his vehicles and it looks great but isn't very durable. Front spoilers are so subject to being impacted by all sorts of stuff that would pit the finish and with Plasti-dip would lead to peeling I suspect. Frankly if
I were to paint one of these I would use a regular satin finish paint. it's a little harder to work with, but the finish would be more durable. If I were to paint one I'd rough up the surface to promote adhesion anyway so steel wool would be in order in any case. Just use fine steel wool and I suspect you could end up with good surface appearance with no paint to become chipped.

My thoughts as well, I wanted to give this a try because of a different look, but I have to compare:
OEM @ $250 and
this lip @ $200
+ $120
+ 14% Tax
+ 20% Duties/Customs

I won't comment on the price increase, but in my opinion this lip looks a million times better than the stock one. For me, it "makes" the front, while retaining the oem look. I'll never go back to stock as long as I own this car.

Agreed, I wound up accepting a counter offer for $193. Doesn't hurt to have a spare. Now if only they'd make some GT2 sideskirts I'd be set.

That is the exact same as my OEM lip. Maybe a non turbo but there is no difference in the two.

FWIW I got mine and it was packed in an appropriate box - no damage - and looks like a nice piece. If it looks good on the car I may well order another as a spare.
