Wow. I just got mine. Came in a plastic bag with no box but appeared to be in excellent condition.

I LOVE the aggressiveness and added shape of this product. And I had no idea the aero front was any different than a stock one (had thought I compared in the past and could not detect a difference in whatever angle of picture I was looking at). Man was I wrong.

Can't comment on install as I had a friend at a body shop switch it out for me, but I couldn't be happier with the outcome. On my black car I decided to not paint it and just put it on as is. Matches the paint better than the factory one I took off so no regrets there (I had painted a factory one in the past and found that it just cracked and looked bad at the slightest hit).

For a product I didn't know existed, and for the cheap cheap price, this might be one of my favourite upgrades for a TT. Looks like it belongs and keep thinking of comments from an earlier poster who said "this is how it should have come from the factory".

Well the plasti dip does not work well in my opinion. If you brush against it, the stuff will bubble off the finish. And it didn't really cover the imperfections on mine. Still really like the form, but the finish is another matter. It is probably hit or miss. Debating pealing off the dip.

I agree about the finish, it's got lots of imperfections that are very visible on the shiny black plastic. They look like deep water spots would look on the hood of your car.

Now The form is great, and while mine had some wavy creases on the under side I was able to straighten those out for the most part with the wife's hair drier LOL!! Mine is at the body shop getting painted so I should have it on the car in a few days. Will report back shortly. But if it fits well, then even with the warts and all this is a good deal for $200

It sounds like a flexible trim paint like Wurth may work better than Plastidip. I'm undecided on whether/how to finish mine but will post the results of whatever I try.

Assuming the finish is the same on the back side as the front side, one of you guys should try using a fine steel wool on the finish. It should lead to a mat finish which is consistent with the stock finish and there is nothing to worry about peeling off when it is inevitably scrapped against something. If it works as I suspect you could steel wool the entire piece with a nice mat finish at the end..

I wonder what the factory uses. The spoiler is flexible, but is painted with a finish like the body.

so finally got mine painted and mounted. It looks great, the body shop did an excellent job with the paint match and the aero style lip so much nicer with that little bit of aggressive curve out vs the flat stock lip.

So that's the positive. But the piece is not a 100% perfect OEM fit. The front sits nice and flush but on mine the sides bulge out slightly. Not enough to be an eye sore but noticeable to guys like us.

So on a scale of 1-5 I give this a 3 for fit and finish and a 5 for value ($200 vs $900 for oem). If you buy this you have to either paint it, plastic dip it or some other refinish because the shiny finish looks cheap and has many imperfections, all IMHO of course. But painted and mounted I give it a 4 for the reasons above.

I will post some pics when I get them uploaded.

Cheers
Art

I think I'm going to wind up buying one of these. I'll try wrapping it in vinyl first and if that doesn't work resort to some sort of matte coating.

John Deere Black Blitz (they have several blacks so get "Blitz") is what you want. Sand it lightly and spray paint it. You'll never look back.

It is time for my annual front lip replacement, just ordered this one off ebay.

I scrape my lip pretty much every day so we'll see how long this one lasts

Just installed mine along with GT3 bumper grille a.k.a GT3 Smile. These two addition makes front end totally different. Looks very aggressive in person. Fitment of the lip is pretty good, almost perfect. I painted flat black instead of plastidip. It matches oem lip very well. Best mods for the money so far. I spent only $200 for both parts!

And Steve K ny borrowed me his metal stencil for grille installation. Thanks Steve! Rep point for you.

Here are some quick iPhone pics.
