Europipe or GMG?
I actually just sold my GMG for my 997.1tt. I had it installed for about 2-3 months. For me it was slightly too loud at lower speeds (ie. navigating around parking lot, etc.). There is some mild drone in the 2200-2600 rpm range. The exhaust has a really nice cold start up and sounds wonderful with aggressive acceleration. Obnoxious loud is so subjective. As others have suggested I would certainly try and hear the GMG in person before buying.
FYI I just switched to a Kline system which was installed yesterday. It was pouring down rain and so I really haven't had a chance to really test it, but I was very happy on the drive home.

GMP, Huewe Motorsports (near Foreign Cars Italia), and Eurowise are the indy options but I haven't used them. I put a Techart rear wing on, painted on the lower exterior panels and had the center console done in gloss piano black.
I went to Cars and Coffee last year with another car but haven't taken the 997tt there yet. I did take the Porsche to Cars and Cappuccino in the Foxcroft shopping center near Southpark mall. Dedicated to european sports cars - Lots of Porsches and some Ferrari's etc. You can join their facebook page for more info.
Hopefully I'll see you around at one of the gatherings. I hardly ever see 997tt's around here.

Basically, ownership impressions after the "honeymoon" period wears off...
Have had my Kline for about 5 mos and love it everyday sounds so much better and cost is more on par where all exhausts should be and no drone and a beast wot can hear the turbos spool all day long!
