All I can tell you is this approach is nothing new. Wal-Mart is known for copying and selling every thing that's in demand heck they even copy the baby formula, keeps it few cents lower and ignorant people buys them all day long.
Kroger does the same thing and I am sure other stores too.
So long as Vivid has the funds and ***** to back things up should something goes wrong, then it's OK or else the consumer is on his own.

That has been my exerience anyway. I think he is politely suggesting to go only to his new site for his products.
Hope that helps. BTW...I have dealt with Scott and Softronic and appreciate his product(s) and service....But other than being a happy customer, nothing I have suggested is official and have no formal affiliation...just trying to answer your post....

My point is that I said..."anyone that has Softronic" look at the instructions. It looks exactly like it, minus a few logos. Cannot believe they can do that with copyright laws etc.. So am shocked how close this looks to the instructions I got for Softronic...even the app and screenshots...
