I just loaded mine using My Genius tool. So freaking easy to change map once you know what you're doing.
I only had a chance to drive it for 30 mins. Definitely more power/torque down low and holds it at 15psi longer than stock. Real smooth throughout the power band. Most importantly it got rid of the annoying CEL that I had from the cat bypass exhaust. So far so good. More report to come soon.

Thanks Rhonda for all of you help and information today. And thank you to everyone for your input here and in my other thread as well. After a long talk with Rhonda, and some careful consideration, she helped me finally pull the trigger. I must say that the service at FVD has been top notch!!! I feel that my happiness was more important than the sale itself and that goes a long way with me.

Anyone on the fence should feel confident in this decision. If you dig deep into the results and ignore the peak HP figure for a moment, you should find that what you will deliver in tq consistency through the rpm range with the FVD software combined with the constant climb in hp (not a peak that falls off, and waves all over the place). It's not all about a number, it's how it puts the power to the ground and how and when it uses it. And at the end of the day...reliability, with more power and no CEL, is what I was after. And when you really consider your options, your kind of splitting hairs. Let's face the fact, you have a 500 hp car that's already fast enough. Once exhaust, air (bmc, ipd, tb, bla bla) and your tune, are you really gonna notice an extra 15-20 hp??? Probably not.

Not to say nothing can be better, but there is a lot of hardware to buy to get there to reach a noticeable difference. So, what you get with FVD, ESPECIALLY at the vday sale price just makes sense.

Thank you!

What kind of the boost are you guys seeing in the Sport mode after the Flash? I am only seeing 15psi.

Then your car has a problem. I believe with a typical tune, you should see that up to 19psi, otherwise you don't get anymore power than stock. Without any tune, you should get to 17 psi in overboost mode. (Just assuming you are familiar with over boost mode and your car has sport chrono.) You get 14 psi max without sport mode.
Granted, max boost does not stay on long.

Smile FVD, or why walz when you can rock & roll ;-)

Hi PORSCHE addicts,

after one year of looking for the ultimate GT2 chip tuning in the GERMAN PFF forum
http://www.pff.de for my "nero" MJ 2009 997 GT2 i made up my mind and
decided today that i will take the FVD genius version.
Software Upgrade 997 GT2 (Genius Flash Tool) FVD 997 618 50MG

The FVD company has fast answered all my questions and i seams for me
that it installs perfect under the "KISS" principle.
The price is under the SALE conditions quite fair and they have a very good reputation in germany!

I will not do any further changes on the car and hope to enjoy the great rides
on the German AUTOBAHN with NO speed LIMITS starting in May 2014.
Always keeping in mind that "RESPECT is Reqiured!" in a GT2!

It's not the speed that kills YOU
it's the sudden stop!!!

best regards Klaus

I want to add my thanks to you and the other posters. I pulled the trigger on the tune even though my 09 is still under CPO (my local dealer is death on tunes). As others have said it has plenty of power already, but given your positive feedback and Rhonda's stellar customer service it was an easy decision. Besides, I'm from the Tim Allen school of "more power".

Curious question, is the tune VIN specific or can it be sold? Assuming the delivery device is a fair portion of the price. Thanks!
