Assisted Sachs stage 2.5 clutch...has it been done?
So a couple months ago the turbo clutch went to the floor...hydraulic clutch assist was toast and replaced under warranty.
Last week the coolant lines went (another common issue). So I figured engine out, do the clutch (I had parts waiting but figured time was right).
So now I have a brand new slave cylinder and a Sachs stage 2.5 clutch. Should I just swap the clutch out and leave the brand new slave cylinder in place?
It seems everyone does the conversion after the failure but the failure has happened and been covered by Porsche. Now I just have to pay labor for a clutch to be swapped out while engine is already out.
Thoughts?

I am in the same boat as you. Engine is coming out at 35K miles and since the engine is out thinking about replacing the clutch now so I don't have to worry later. My clutch is fine though at the moment.
What does a slave cylinder have to do with the a Sachs stage 2.5 clutch??
Either im not understanding or you don't know what your talking about.
Yes after the slave fails many people convert to gt2 (non assisted) setup. However the slave has nothing to do with your actual clutch or pulling your engine.

It's been done many times from what I've gathered. Some do the GT2 conversion when they replace the clutch. Others don't. The conversion can be done without removing the engine, so see how the assisted feel is first. You can always GT2 convert later.

Did it while the engine was out. I didn't do the GT2 conversion as I didn't have the parts. No issues and clutch is as light as stock with the same amount of pedal feel.
