Antilaser vs. 9500Ci Laser
That's what I was thinking. Is one sensor enough for the rear? Also if you were to install 2 on the rear, what is the minimum distance between them...as in, could 2 be put inside the license plate opening?
i have the 9500ci and i often wonder: are the rear ones even necessary ?
I have yet to see LEO shoot laser gun at cars from behind.
at high speed, the LEO won't have the time to tag u from the rear, but will definitely notice u speeding, even without laser gun.
only thing the rear jammers do for me is set off false alarms from other car's headlights / Laser cruise control.
BTW Mike, that's the same place i have my display and the switch. Its a great location for high visibility while driving and easy access to the control buttons. Now i just need to upgrade my laser jammers to AL Priority.

I travel quite bit picking up and delivering buses to my customers and starting to see them targeting from the back in more states.
Here in Florida, LEO's set up on overpasses and tag you from behind as you go under. Then there will be 8-10 LEO cars that they radio to sitting up the on ramp and they come out like bees mucking up the traffic

As a retired California cop I would nail you every time with laser and cite you if you were using a jammer. By the way traffic court judges hate jammers almost as much as your insurance companies. I have a V-1 in my cars and they work well but on a long straight roadway laser is leagues better for speed than radar.
Jamming: Electronic Speed-Measuring Devices
28150. (a) No vehicle shall be equipped with any device that is designed for, or is capable of, jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.
(b) No person shall use, buy, possess, manufacture, sell, or otherwise distribute any device that is designed for jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.
(c) Except as provided in subdivision (d), a violation of subdivision (a) or (b) is an infraction.
(d) When a person possesses four or more devices in violation of subdivision (b), the person is guilty of a misdemeanor.
(e) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person who has a valid federal license for operating the devices described in this section may transport one or more of those devices if the license is carried in the vehicle transporting the device at all times when the device is being transported.

What are the 10 states that ban Laser jammers?? My understanding is that laser is used in hospitals, etc., and as a consequence laser jammers are permissible. This is not the case with radar jammers used exclusively by police and therefore are not permitted in any state,

^ +1 NJ state troopers have been doing this for a while. I installed a valentine 1 and Laser Interceptors (2 front and 1 rear for this reason!). That said, nothing beats driving "smart" out there.

Eddie at Detailing Dynamics did a great job on my clear bra and radar/laser install. Also painted the exhaust tips. Very happy with the work and Eddie was reasonable in terms of price and answering my many many questions.
No. He didn't take them after he moved the jammers and it's been pouring here, so haven't taken any. Eddie moved the front heads to the bottom of the front bumper center grill section. I already showed the pics of the display and control panels. He offered to make a custom install and put the controls inside the ashtray, but I want to easily get to them as I turn off the radar sometimes in my town.
Funny you mentioned rear heads, A customer of ours sent us this article which was published a few days ago and they are shooting the rear:

These new DragonEye Cams are now in 4 states and parts of Canada. The Laser Interceptor, Escort Laser Shifter Pro's and Blinder HP-905's do not even alert to this gun. The AL Priority will alert and Jam this gun.

3 AL Priority Jammers are about $900 with shipping and then you have to pay to install. Install isn't cheap. 3 is enough on my car according to Eddie at Detailing Dynamics, but some here advocate 4 jammers, so that would be more of course.

They'll sit at the top of an entrance ramp and laser DOWN onto the cars that are passing below them. Something else I've seen them do is have an umarked car (usually a dark blue charger, sometimes an suv) and have it off the side of the freeway about 100m from the edge of a guard rail. The cop will be OUT of his car, crouched behind the guardrail and lasering cars as they go past. And THAT is how I got a ticket, even with my Valentine 1. It alerted me after I'd hit the laser but obviously it isn't a jammer so I was screwed

In So Cal, u rarely see that kink of speed trap tho.
Plus, that might be fine if u r over the limit by 10-15 mph.. but our cars can reach 100+mph in a blink of an eye. And if u pass an overhead LEO trap at that speed, jammers will not help too much. Looking down from overhead at passing the cars, its speed is pretty obvious.
I don't speed downhill or when there is an overhead coming up (CHP likes to hide behind) and try to drive 'smart'.. and lately, i use the Waze for additional info.
BTW i don't condone speeding excessively or in congestion.. but i will open her up at times when there is nice empty straights or twists ahead. ~I just can't help myself.
Price isn't bad, I was going with a different setup so nearly double the price.
V1 is a Radar Detector. Radar Detectors if they alert against laser is just a notice to let you know they already received your speed. If you are hit with Laser you need a laser jammer. The Laser Interceptor is no longer the best laser jammer. There are several guns that it does not even alert to.
If you want the best laser jammer its the AL Priority and you really should have 2 heads on each end that you want protected.
