Go to wheels for 997.1 turbo
Hey guys, New member and new owner of a 2008 997.1 turbo. Recently came from an E92 M3 (amazing car) and have already started modding the turbo. On the M3, the classic go to wheels were BBS LM's. They looked beautiful and I was wondering if there were some set of go to wheels for the 977.1 turbo? Right now the picture in my profile is what my car looks like except the fact that it is a cab. Thanks guys and I hope to learn a lot from the forum!!

Do you want monoblock or 3-piece wheels?? From there you'll have some direction. HRE's (high quality, nice look wheel) makes both monoblock (P43SC + P43SC) and 3-piece (C103 + C109), Forgeline makes the GA1R (monoblock) and BBS FI (also monoblock). Other popular wheel brands are CCW, Fikse & ADV.1 (the 10.1SL).
Wheels are like exhaust, VERY subjective to each owner. So I'd start where I recommended and ask yourself if you want a monoblock or 3-piece wheel and go from there.

there really isn't a 'go to' wheel, a mesh rim seems to be the most popular, an hre p40 style, but pretty much anything goes, whatever floats your boat, don't worry about what everyone else likes, go with what you feel looks the best, unless it's a 22" spinner

+1 . I am about to list my HRE 590 R 20" set in the classifieds this coming week. But they aren't cheap They are stunning however. I replaced them with 991TT wheels I'll post pics up when I get a chance.

I love mine.
The finish is totally unique. It is a forged, one piece wheel, but the outer lip is polished, then clear coated and the centers are painted in a deep metallic silver. No matter how dirty they've been, they've come clean with soap and water and no harsh "wheel cleaners". If I don't own a Porsche wide body, I may be using them for coffee tables before I sell them!
