2011 Turbo S Battery will not hold a charge

It appears as if my battery is no longer working. I had put my car in storage since about Jan. 1st...kept it on a trickle charger, started and drove once in late Feb, but now even with charger on it for days it will not start.

Question is, do I need to buy the battery from Porsche dealer or can I get it anywhere? The terminal spacing looks unique....not sure if any of you guys have gone through this.

thanks for the input!

Porsche will only exchange the batter under warranty if you have so many miles per month on the car. If not you will have to buy your own.

I highly doubt the trip computer stores that much information...sure stuff like maximum speed/avg. fuel economy/etc.) but what days you drive your car and for how long...seems a little "Big Brother"...

Its not that hard guys, they have the in service date and then divide by total miles. If I remember correctly it has to be driven at on average 500 miles a month, so if his car's in service date was three years ago he would have to have at least 36X500 18k miles on the clock or they won't warranty the battery.

I ran into that on my 2010 CPO that had 14k miles when I bought it. The battery went dead about 9 months later but the car did not have miles on it that Porsche wants for the battery warranty even though it was under the full 4 year warranty. My 07 was under warranty and the battery went dead after about 3 years and they replaced it under warranty and it cost me nothing but I had put the miles on that car so that stipulation did not come up.
