Will 19" HRE's for 996TT fit 997TT?
Will 19" HRE's for 996TT fit 997TT?
Any of you guys ever just transfer your 19" HREs from your 996TT's to 997TT's?
I'm running 235 35 19 (8.5F) and 305 30 19 (11.5R).
I'm not sure what the offsets are, but these fit perfectly flushed on my 996TT.
Just curious if this would be the same on the 997TT or would need spacers ...
Thanks.

So the wheels ended up being too wide for both fronts and backs.
The fronts are sticking out quite a bit .. give or take 1-2 inches. NO rubbing though, but drives funny.
The rears aren't sticking out as much ... maybe around .5"
I was surprised with this. I was under the impression that it would have been a perfect fit like it was on the 996TT.
Not sure if there would be any hope on these ...

I've asked this question before and received mixed answers. IMO, I don't think 996TT wheels fit the same on a 997T. 996TT stock wheels have more aggressive offsets in the rear than the 997TT stock wheels. Also, the AM 996TT wheels I've came across on this forum all have more aggressive offsets than AM 997TT wheels.
For example, my AM wheels are 19x11 +32 in the rears and they're all the way out to the edge of the fender. I can't even fit my index finger between it without squeezing my finger in there(My car is lowered). I was interested in a set of AM wheels that came off a 996TT that the seller said it should fit a 997. I think the size was something like 19x11 +25. I'm not a wheel expert, but I would think that means that wheel will stick out past the fender on my car. Will that fit? Yes, probably on a stock suspension car. But I don't know like that tires sticking out past the fender look personally so that's not considered a good fit for me.
So in short, stock 996T offsets would be a good mildly aggressive offset on a 997T. AM wheels with aggressive offset on a 996T will be too much on a 997T, IMHO.

I wanted to ask the same question as I have a guy selling his 19" HRE's from his 996....19 x 8.5 et 48 and 19 x 11.5 et 43. I guess i have my answer. But i see on your yellow turbo it doesn't look that bad.

I just noticed the front sticks out too much
Khooger, the wheels you are looking at has perfect offsets for a 997 turbo. Take a second opinion just in case.
Need to call HRE....maybe someone from HRE here can chime in ?
It is very important to know what your wheel offsets are. 997.1TT stock offsets are 56 front and 51 rear. Many owners use spacers to give the car a more aggressive stance by setting the wheels out closer to the fenders. The spacers most often used are 7 front and 15 rear which effectively creates a wheel offset of 49 front and 36 rear. Anything between 49/36 and 56/51 should be good. Now, if the car is lowered or the wheels are wider, one should probably do some careful measurements. I am not an expert by any means, but it seems to be a matter of basic arithmetic. If I am wrong, will someone please set me straight.
your wheels arent sticking out.
the wheels fit fine. you are on a stock alignment. you have no camber in the front. align the car. max out your front camber (1.0-1.1). notice your front wheel sticks out more on the top than it does at the bottom (you have NO camber up front). your rear fits perfect. it just looks that way because of the curves of the car. your front wheel is at 0 degrees.
i kept my 19" i-forged wheels from my 996 (they were nearly flush on my 996) and they fit PERFECT on my 997.
your wheels look great and they will fit perfectly once you align the car.
the offsets you gave are not that aggressive, many of us (myself included) run even tighter offsets with out issue. look at the pics again. you NEED an alignment.
