My dealer resprays many bumper for CPO they sell. If it was a panel you were painting, then my dealer may bark.

Point of information--There are two different types of paint meters/gauges. One reads only coating depth on steel, the other on steel, aluminum, and composite, i.e., fiberglass, PU, carbon, carbon/Kevlar, etc. As in anything, there are more good expensive ones ($600-1200) than there are good cheap ($130-150), but good cheap does exist. Worth the money if you are thinking of a used car of any kind.

Do you know how the ones that measure composites work? Density of materials maybe and the differences between the paint and underlying materials?

I have mine scheduled to go into a body shop this week. Price to fill and paint the bumper as well as painting a new front lip and side rocker panels is approx. $800. Full front clear bra is much more.
