Best Intercoolers for 997.2 Turbo
Power under the curve for longer but not and increase in peak.
People have tested 997.2 coolers against 5" cores but have not disclosed whose which is a shame but the cheap Porsche coolers seem far superior and much better over 997.1 coolers.
Also you say there is some proof out there but I have never seen it and generally people are bolting on a lot more mods than just coolers and also the fact that quite a few peeps run conventional turbo chargers which do run cooler than VTG's hence why people think their coolers are working.
Also the Porsche engine bay gets very hot so why are you going to stick a whole lot more of metal to soak a whole lot more of heat. Bigger is not better IMO, the fin design is important but again this is my opinion and others may disagree!!

Really so you bolted on a cooler and gained 40whp.
Where did you dyno the car? Was it the same temp, weather etc etc?
Did you just happen to dyno the car in cooler weather?
Did you do anything else i.e. remap the car to run more boost?

Yes same shop, same dyno, same weather... Same boost but adjust the timing and duty cycle of the injectors
The GTR is a different story altogether. The cooler sits right at the front in best place possible so all the air in the world hits it but in the Porsche we only have two tiny scoops to suck air through. But only so much can fill the space so what we need to do is make this amount of air coming into the scoop work for us in a better way hence using a much more efficient fin design etc etc.
Found this from 911Tuning but This is for .1 not .2, right?

But saying that thanks to it being a 3.8 and PDK it is very fast with subtle mods.
