5th gear pulls? Pulsing? Need thoughts at this point.
Here's my 3rd gear log.
Time
Engine speed
Intake air temp
Ignition angle
Injection time
Actuall throttle plate angle
Lambda 1
Lambda 2
Pressure ah.of thr. plate fr. press. sensor.

Log in 3rd doesn't look bad at all! Boost is up above 21.5 psig but other than that the timing looks pretty good, doesn't look like it is knocking too much.
Might try and get a log in 5th gear to see if we can figure out what the data is seeing to help figure out what is going on.
Let me know if I can help with anything!
Thanks,
-Mitch

The car in that article was using a very early EVT700 kit with very early 997TT software. Totally different hardware from this car, and the issue causing the power oscillation was resolved years and years ago. What was going on then was much different from that this is--a slow oscillation, whereas this noise is occurring at a higher frequency.
Off topic slightly what are the main differences between both the hardware and software you used back in 2008 and today? Obviously everything is refined and improved over time but are there any major differences? Should someone with 2008 hardware and software immediately upgrade to the latest kits in your view and why? Many thanks in advance. IMI A
The software has been updated in some cases. If someone had a car (almost any of our kits) that was last tuned back then, I would recommend running the VIN/records by us to see if it's still current or if there are improvements to be had. There have been periodic updates in driveability, midrange power/response, and emissions compatibility depending on the tune.
