I bought my first Porsche Turbo this year.... 2008 997.1 cabrio. I decided to try a 1/4 mile pass for the first time yesterday. I have an FVD tune and EP1. 91 octane fuel @ 3300 ft. The car ran 11.6@124mph. IPD and GT2RS intercoolers are next on the list. (stock clutch is doing well right now, fingers crossed). Seems like it should be pretty easy to break 130 mph. Man I love this car!

I wonder if the car can hit 130 with stock turbos and 93 pump?


I know if you even do a re-wheel like a 63.5 with supporting mods you can do over 133 on pump, but wonder what stock turbo pump can do.

 

I was looking at doing 63.5 mm turbo's soon as well. Markski has a very reasonable price on 63.5 mm and custom tune. I didn't buy this as a race car, nor do I want to make it one. I already have a much faster race car I am a speed junkie though. I would like to make it to 700 hp at the crank and call it a day. I'm sure it will crack 130 mph with that power. Pretty amazing to see a basically stock car running mid 11's@124 mph.

 

" Markski has a very reasonable price on 63.5 mm and custom tune", Reasonable is an understatement for that set up, just call around and see what other companies want for the same set up! You will see that what Markski is asking for the turbo's and tune, other shops want just for a tune!!


Also it is not like Markski is new to this game, but the opposite.
