Bill Rader Motorsports Transmission on the Way!
Exactly! It is better than stock, but it does become a slippery slope!
I know buts it's having the power to use these ratios properly. They might be too long for what I was thinking.
Unless you're chasing tenths of a second you probably wouldn't notice any difference from gear ratio changes alone. Although people say the GT2-esque ratios are good for a large improvement 60-130, I myself haven't seen any data one way or the other.
Yumaverick is dead on. It depends on the distance you are racing over, and whether or not the different ratios keep you car in a higher power output range for longer than the factory ones. 3 shifts in the 1/4 mile is certainly better than 4 shifts with one right at the end where you barely come back up on boost before crossing the finish.

This is the problem Dan
. Off the record how is your Red beast doing?
Sitting in the garage naked waiting for BBI to deliver the new exhaust! I really haven't been able to run it since early this year between storage

After hearing the amazing results CRR and Black Horse Turbo had with there transmission from Bill Rader, I decided to go the same route. I purchased a 996tt transmission and Bill is currently building it.
Parts list for the transmission:
-GT2RS main shaft with taller 1st and 2nd Gear
-Guard 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears
-Guard Billet 1st and 2nd Fork
-Factory racing 3rd and 4th Fork
-Steel Cage under Bearings
-Guards LSD
CRR was able to run a 3.7 60-130 at 900whp with this transmission without shifting since he has a GT3 Top end.
