Very nice numbers given the conditions!

I have found that my car performs much better when the weather is cooler. It's so hot now here in the SoCal deserts where all of our tracks are that we are done racing until it starts cooling down in November.

Thanks... At least in SoCal you can wait until November, here in PR we have hot weather all year long.

Haha be thankful! I lived in Hawaii for years and for someone that likes being outdoors/in the water, there's nothing better than a place that is warm all year round. I miss it a lot.

Density altitude is what governs how much power the motor is going to make on a given day, all else being equal. Besides actual elevation, heat is likely the next largest factor. But barometric pressure is also a significant factor. Humidity not much at all.

Bottom line is that you need to be on the lookout for a cool early morning (near sunrise) where there is high pressure. DA could be fairly low even at 70 deg F because you are already at/near sea level.

Everything you ever wanted to know about DA is here:

The best way is to run the tank down to 5 miles left (or less) then put in race fuel, drive for a couple miles, then switch maps
