Does it charge continually if the engine is off? I.e. any risk of depleting the car battery?

I've been listening to music with the iPod connection since it has the best quality as previously discussed. A few days ago I noticed I only had a few minutes of battery remaining so I decided to plug in the USB and see what happens. Well by having both the USB and 30 pin iPod connected, it started charging and kept playing music!

Indeed, but you need that special Y cable from Porsche. If you have it, definitely plug them both in!

I would like to know if anyone had used the 30 pin to Lightening connector to re-use this cable or if anyone purchased the new connector (assuming Porsche made one)

Thanks..........
I purchased an Apple brand 30 pin to lightning to fit into the Porsche cable. I had ordered a cheapo knockoff that did not work. Buy it from Apple is my advice.
