VIVID RACING Customer Service ROCKS!
I had to re-flash the DME on my 07 Turbo back to stock from a VIVID RACING for a NY State Inspection. I made the mistake of taking the car to my local Porsche dealer (name redacted to avoid hassles
) who decided that my DME needed a re-flash. This was all done without contacting me to discuss this additional work (all I requested was a NYS inspection). They even charged me $140 for the re-flash. I am dealing with this charge now, though I expect to end up eating the cost.
Beyond doing unauthorized work and charging me, the result was even more frustrating. I could not re-flash back to the VR tune.
HOWEVER, the story improves from this point. I e-mailed Dan M. at VIVID RACING to explain my problem and request help. Less than 20 minutes later, he was remotely piloting my laptop, fixing the problem, and reloading the VR tune. He stayed connected until everything was completed and tested (Yup, the tune is definitely loaded).
This is the type of customer service we all deserve.

I second that. Dan has never been anything other than extremely helpful, supportive and responsive. When I struggled to upload the tune, he walked me through the entire procedure.
I too enjoy my VR tune which puts a smile on my face every day.
Launched my tip TT the other day for the first time and had one of those 'Holy $h!t' moments as the car screamed towards the horizon at what seemed like warp speed.

I agree completely. These guys are great! Especially Dan. He went above and beyond my expectations. Very dedicated. I plan to do more business with these guys in the future. Keep it up Vivid!
Good News - the dealer acknowledged that the re-flash was done by mistake. They gave me a full refund of the re-flash charge and apologized for the error. For my part, I am going to assure that I verify the work request in writing anytime I have work done on my car.
