Not quite true, mine does. It seems to only happen on cool days, but it does happen. Perhaps the issue in the 997 is not quite as prevalent but it does happen.

Guess I've been lucky - I've had two (2007 and 2008 ) TTs and never experienced 2nd gear pop out in over 50,000 miles.

Agree imo it makes sense to not change tyre diameter between front and rear, how would the clutch for the fron wheels "adapt" to change in speed between front/rear?

Seems the 997TT suffers from the same issues as the 996TT, more or less. Amazing that porsche didn't choose to update anything knowing that these problems were prevalent.

Actually quite a few things were updated. PM me your email address and I'll send you the 997TT Product info guide which does a 996/997 comp plus other cars.
