I just picked a 2007 tt 6 speed ( 1 owner 22k milies - no issues) and was considering Fidelity.

So for UltraCare $0 deductible was quoted:

3yrs $5,672 + tax
2yrs $5,273 + tax

Those durations are from the purchase date of the plan. So would run through 8/2017 on the 3yr.

I tried to push back but got no play - basically $100 off on the 3yr. I passed - would think self insurance is a reasonable risk considering the high $$ on the policy.

Any thoughts to the contrary...would love to hear. ( I was told NO wear and tear items are covered)

I personally wouldn't spend my money on one of those but whatever. Try to get an exclusionary policy. That is one that says what is not covered versus what is.

RD, I don't know anything about UltraCare.

Go to Fidelity Warranty Service's website and look at their different plans. Call different dealers to shop for the best price and terms that suit you. You don't have to buy the warranty from your purchasing dealer. You could probably purchase the warranty from any dealer across the country.

It sounds like most people on here have had good experiences with Fidelity. I inquired at my dealer today and these are the prices I got;

Platinum:
3/36k $4,400 with $100 per visit deductible
4/48k $5,854 with $100 per visit deductible
5/60k $6,912 with $100 per visit deductible

Gold Plus:
3/36k $3,494 with $100 per visit deductible
4/48k $4,218 with $100 per visit deductible
5/60k $5,284 with $100 per visit deductible

Does this sound about right? Has anyone had an issue with them covering a modified car? Does this still cover a loaner car? Right now my car is still under factory warranty, and the dealership has been awesome with covering anything and everything, no matter if the car is modified or not. Its also convenient having them give a loaner whenever the car is in for service, so I don't have to coordinate rides to/from the dealer. I don't know if that's because I have a warranty or not. They just replaced a wing strut and ignition switch under warranty. $6000 service covered in 1 visit. So I definitely want keep a warranty on the car because it expires at the end of this year.
