997.2 Turbo Updates from Cobb Tuning
The TU labels are just the ROM IDs as Sam mentioned.
What mods do you have? That would help us on the forum help guide you towards the best path forward. As someone who has literally tried almost any combination of parts and tuning available from stage 1 to big turbos and everything in between, i'd be happy to help guide you with your goals etc. What works, what doesn't etc on the 997.2 platform
There are some great COBB protuners out there, including Sam who posted above. He is always available and goes above and beyond to get whatever you need to make you happy. Def has my recommendation!

Chris, talk to me about your tunes. Tell me any weird things that have happened or things that aren't quite right.
This is what I've encountered on a Protune. OTS Stage 2 Cobb is great but slower. So far I feel a lot more comfortable running the OTS tune.
1) Nose dip on shifts. It's like a manual transmission where in between shifts there's a lag or hesitation, you may lose boost and the DCT car next to you jumps out 1/2 or 1 car length.
2) Weird break up. I'm unsure if this is misfiring or if it's just some weird fueling issues or if the throttle bodies are closing slightly or what. I'm encountering this at around 4800-5000rpm mostly in higher gears like 4th and above. Say I'm at 4500rpm 40% throttle, I push the pedal to 60% throttle and at 4800 I'll get this DA DA DA DA DA where the car jerks and shakes for a bit. If I push the pedal further and accelerate above 5000rpm then it's fine.
At this moment I would never road race with a ProTune. I'm keeping it on OTS stage 2 until I feel things are a lot more smooth and kinks worked out.

I have never ever had anything resembling #1 either on OTS tunes or any of the numerous protunes I have had. I would possibly check for a boost leak. Something else sounds off there that isn't related to the tune.
#2 has happened to me randomly when I was at stage 3 protuned. Try replicating the issue with the PSM off. I've learned that even at speed, with the PCM on, you can get throttle closures. I didn't remain stage 3 long enough to ever properly diagnose it but I did have a slight shudder during part throttle/passing situations as you described.
If turning PSM off doesn't help, log it and ask COBB direct to take a look.
Or, try the new OTS stage 3 maps as I know a LOT of R&D has gone into them.
We have had the same issues with big missfires at part throttle and Cobb OTS files all stages but after contacting Todd att Protomotive we have solved the problem so if you want alot of more power and performance out of your 997,2 Turbo contact Todd att Protomotive and he will help out
Just got some 3 bar MAP sensors to try and maybe run the Stage 3 OTS tune for a try.
How in the Heck do you get the sensor on the side out?? What T30 Torx fits in there beside the air intake tube??
I'm not sure my big mits and arms can get in there to change it.

I'd like to know this also. I've not installed my sensors yet because I know I'll want to try the OTS Stg. 3 tune.
Seems like one tuner said it would be okay for short burst, but does that include a 1/4 mile pass?
Can anyone shed light on their experience with the OTS stg. 3 tune at all??

I ended up having to disconnect the air intake tube and it has a plastic "Stud" that is pushed through a mount with a rubber grommet in it. I had to pull the intake tube UP and OUT of that grommet to get it to move enough to be able to work with a tool to get the sensor out. Pain in the A$$ to get it done to be honest. I BARELY got the "stud" back through the mount.
Good part is, with aftermarket intake tubes,. that mount / grommet isn't used so it's not really necessary to get it back through there.
OH!! I forgot. You have to detach the intake from the Turbo underneath the car first to get enough movement to get the tube under the hatch to move up / out of that mount / grommet. And now that I remember, it has to go back through the mount for the proper alignment to occur below to re-attach the intake to the turbo.
I had some pics but think I may have deleted them.... I'll check.

Got mine installed finally... Running a custom Cobb stg. 2.5 tune with no IC temp issues...
Wondering if your TTS ICs are sufficient for stage 3 since they are the same as the GT2 RS ICs? I know some 7.1 guys do that upgrade.
Yes the .2's are the better IC's. Whenever I decide to mod more, I'll do a nice AMS set or some other good brand.
